Saeta, a pioneering aircraft in the history of Spanish aviation

Our professionals from the Air Force Defense unit have carried out the complete reconstruction of one of the aircraft with the most history in aviation, which was manufactured in Spain: “El Saeta.”

The “Saeta” were born in the Hispano Aviación factory (1918) located in the heart of Triana (Seville) with the designs of the German engineer Willy Messerschmitt, Rafael Rubio and others in the 50s, being the first Spanish jets and the first aircraft exported by the Spanish aeronautical industry.

The same work was carried out on the plane that is on display at the Wanda Football Stadium of Club Atlético de Madrid, in 2019, as a tribute to one of the most brilliant stages of our club, in which we won our first two league titles (1939-40 and 1940-41).

We have had the honour of completely reconstructing an aircraft with so much history, from the assembly of the components, painting it and positioning it on the monolith that is on display at the gates of the Tablada SEVILLA Barracks.
