A little history of the aircraft
The first planes arrived at the Los Llanos Base in Albacete in 1975. It was a contingent of 15 units of the F-1C with various industrial counterparts for the then CASA. As soon as they arrived, the new fighters, designated C-14, were assigned to the 141st Squadron, the first of the newly created 14th Wing. In a clear allusion to the lands of La Mancha, the Mirages adopted a Don Quixote as an emblem.
