We participated in the BA Transformation Townhall 2024

The director of the Drone Solutions for Airport Maintenance and Business Technology Integration (ITE) unit participated in the BA Transformation Townhall 2024, an event focused on the transformation and innovation of the aeronautical industry, organized in London, United Kingdom, by British Airways.

The event was attended at the invitation of International Airlines Group (IAG), one of the largest airline groups in the world, formed by the merger of British Airways and Iberia in 2011. The invitation responds to the collaboration that ITE maintains with IAG in the development of a drone inspections project for the aeronautical sector.

Presentation of innovative solutions

During the forum, ITE presented to engineering and operations managers the solutions it is developing for the detection and identification of FOD (Foreign Object Debris), i.e. foreign objects present on airport runways, as well as for the automated inspection of aircraft through the use of drones.

In addition, the advances made in collaboration with Sense Aeronautics were highlighted, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence modules for automatic object detection and real-time image analysis. This technology improves the efficiency and precision of inspections, contributing to operational safety and the optimization of times in the maintenance of airport infrastructures.
