The Chief of Staff of the Spanish Air and Space Force visits ITE and Ómicron facilities in Móstoles and learns about their technological capabilities applied to defence
General of the Air Francisco Braco Carbó, Chief of Staff of the Air and Space Force (JEMA, by its Spanish acronym) since 2024, recently visited the headquarters of Integración Tecnológica Empresarial (ITE) and Ómicron Mechanical & Engineering Services, located in Móstoles. The visit was driven by the Air Force’s interest in gaining first-hand knowledge of the technological, industrial, and operational capabilities developed by our companies, given their strategic role in key sectors such as aeronautics, engineering, manufacturing and systems integration, drones, cybersecurity, intelligence, and cyber defence.
The JEMA was accompanied by Brigadier General Enrique Cuenca-Romero, Head of his Cabinet, as well as Commander Alberto Romeralo and Captain Álvaro Araujo, both aides to General Braco. The delegation was welcomed at ITE headquarters by the company’s executive team, led by Oven Martín Acedo, Founder & CEO; Luis Pizarro Teno, Managing Director of ITE; and Jesús Espinosa Ruiz, Managing Director of Ómicron.

The day began with an outdoor demonstration of the Drone Dock system, an autonomous remote inspection solution that enables reconnaissance and infrastructure surveillance tasks to be carried out automatically and safely. The demonstration was conducted by Juan Díaz, Director of the Drone Solutions Unit, who explained in detail the data collected by the drone.
The attendees then proceeded to the meeting room, where a live institutional presentation was held to showcase the strategic lines of work and capabilities of both companies. During the session, Oven Martín formally welcomed the delegation on behalf of the executive committee and highlighted ITE’s commitment to strengthening the national technological ecosystem.
“This visit reinforces our conviction that defence is a collective endeavor, where technological excellence and the supply chain are the true national shield.”

“Hosting the JEMA allowed us to proudly demonstrate how at ITE, together with our Ómicron Mechanical & Engineering Services division, we are contributing to advancing innovative solutions that are already transforming the present and future of our strategic capabilities.”
— said Luis Pizarro, who also thanked the Air Force for its interest in learning about their applied innovation model.said Luis Pizarro, who also thanked the Air Force for its interest in learning about their applied innovation model.
Next, Fernando Sopranis, Director of the Defence Unit, discussed existing experiences and collaborations with the Armed Forces, highlighting ongoing projects with the Army and the Navy. He was followed by Francisco González-Espresati, retired Lieutenant General of the Air and Space Force and current Head of Defence Strategy at ITE, who presented the company’s participation in BACSI Albacete 2026, detailed the projects developed under the European Defence Fund (EDF), and explained the ongoing collaboration with Airbus Helicopters, including the operational use of the Cuatro Vientos Air Base workshops.
After the presentation, Jesús Espinosa, Managing Director of Ómicron Mechanical & Engineering Services, guided the delegation on a tour of the technical facilities, showing the aeronautics hangar, the industrial plant, the maintenance workshops, and the paint hangar. Throughout the visit, live demonstrations of manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance processes were presented, highlighting the company’s focus on excellence, traceability, and precision across its different areas of expertise. After the presentation, Jesús Espinosa, Managing Director of Ómicron Mechanical & Engineering Services, guided the delegation on a tour of the technical facilities, showing the aeronautics hangar, the industrial plant, the maintenance workshops, and the paint hangar. During the tour, a team from the Defence Business Unit, led by Luis Sánchez, also had the opportunity to present the reverse osmosis plant manufacturing project, a product already successfully installed on Navy ships such as the frigates Reina Sofía, Navarra, Canarias, and Noruega; and currently under construction for the Numancia, Juan Carlos I, and the Fleet Solid Support (FSS) program vessels for the Royal Navy’s Auxiliary Fleet in the United Kingdom. These systems are designed to convert seawater into drinking water while meeting the strict standards required on board.
The day concluded with a traditional Spanish wine reception in the meeting room, which had been transformed to host an informal gathering between military authorities and business representatives. This space fostered the exchange of impressions and strengthened ties between the Armed Forces and the national technology industry.
General Braco’s visit to the ITE and Ómicron headquarters in Móstoles highlighted the key role that public-private collaboration plays in developing strategic capabilities. Through an integrated approach that brings together engineering, drones, advanced manufacturing, and cybersecurity, both companies are consolidating themselves as trusted technological partners in the national defence ecosystem, demonstrating that industrial innovation is also a matter of sovereignty.
