Our NBQ/TIM station from ITE forms part of the UME deployment in Catalonia during the ASF outbreak at the end of 2025

With the aim of protecting lives and preventing secondary contamination during the African Swine Fever outbreak detected in our country at the end of 2025, units of the Technological and Environmental Emergency Intervention Group GIETMA of the UME deployed to Catalonia to support the Government of Catalonia.

Providing speed and safety in decontamination, the autonomous station formed part of the contingent and resources deployed there. Fernando S. de Sopranis, Director of ITE’s Defence Unit, emphasised:

“We have been in contact with UME personnel to resolve certain technical issues during the operation. The success of this development reinforces our position as a strategic partner of the UME and as a benchmark company for providing solutions tailored to their specific needs.”

Do you know how our decontamination station designed for the UME works?

The station consists of a trailer-mounted unit integrating inflatable tents for the decontamination of search and rescue dogs, emergency personnel and vehicles. Equipped with its own power generator and water heating system, it is used to precisely and safely neutralise biological, chemical or radiological contaminants through a self-sufficient process using warm water and special decontamination agents.

The execution of this project involved various areas of ITE, working in close collaboration with the German manufacturer Futuretech (Kärcher Group), combining engineering, manufacturing and technological innovation to deliver a complete, reliable solution ready for rapid deployment.

Integración Tecnológica Empresarial, S.L. carried out the integration of the individual elements that make up the system at our plant in Móstoles, which includes, among other equipment, Kärcher Futuretech units such as an HWM 40 hot water module, an MPDS 1 high-pressure decontamination system and other decontamination agents, ensuring optimal and safe operation in critical missions.
