ITE obtains SOC 2 Type II certification and strengthens its positioning in cybersecurity

This milestone places the company at a level of rigour aligned with the leading international standards and consolidates its operating model based on excellence, risk management and continuous compliance.

The Cybersecurity Unit of ITE has obtained the SOC 2 Type II certification, an independent accreditation that recognises the sustained effectiveness of its systems, processes and controls in the areas of security, availability and confidentiality.

What is SOC 2 Type II and why is it key in cybersecurity

SOC 2 Type II is an internal control report developed by the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), a leading professional body in the United States that sets standards for auditing, accounting and assurance.

This standard evaluates how a service organisation manages and protects data, examining over an extended period, typically between 3 and 12 months, the actual operational effectiveness of its controls in the areas of security and information management.

A validated security model with no exceptions

The SOC 2 Type II certification, issued following an independent audit process, does not only assess the design of controls, but also their effective operation over time. In this case, the report concludes that ITE’s controls have been assessed with no exceptions, which demonstrates the maturity, robustness and reliability of its security model.

“Obtaining the SOC 2 Type II certification confirms that our security model is not only well designed, but that it functions consistently over time. Having passed the audit with no exceptions reflects the level of maturity and commitment of the team to operational excellence and the trust of our clients”.

This result reinforces the organisation’s capacity to guarantee the protection of information and the continuity of services in increasingly demanding and regulated environments.

Strategic impact for clients and the market

Obtaining this certification has a direct impact on ITE’s value proposition and its positioning within the cybersecurity ecosystem.
It reinforces its role as a trusted partner, providing objective guarantees to clients, partners and the market as a whole, in a context where information security has become a critical element. At the same time, it consolidates its model based on governance, risk management and control (GRC), and aligns its operations with international reference standards that define best practices in the sector.

A collective achievement driven by operational excellence

This recognition is the result of the joint efforts of the entire Cybersecurity Unit team, whose commitment, rigour and technical level have been decisive in achieving this milestone.

The contribution of the GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) team stands out in particular, whose work has been key in defining and overseeing the control model, ensuring its coherence and robustness. Equally fundamental has been its role in aligning with international standards such as SOC and ISAE, as well as in coordinating the audit process and ensuring continuous compliance over time.

“This milestone is the result of structured, sustained work over time. From GRC, we have driven a robust model, aligned with international standards, which not only meets audit requirements but also guarantees continuous compliance and the constant improvement of our controls”, highlights Juan Carlos Chamizo.

Their work has been fundamental in ensuring the coherence, traceability and effectiveness of the control system implemented within the organisation.

A starting point towards continuous improvement

Far from representing a final objective, the SOC 2 Type II certification marks a new starting point in ITE’s strategy. The company will continue to evolve its security model with a focus on continuous improvement, aimed at optimising the security system, evolving the control model and constantly reinforcing its value proposition in the market.

With this step, Integración Tecnológica Empresarial reaffirms its commitment to excellence, innovation and the generation of trust in all the environments in which it operates.
